Our Approach
I first became interested in dog grooming because of my love for animals, especially dogs! As a teenager my first job was at a kennels, and ever since then I've been working with dogs and loving every moment of it! I have also enjoyed learning about our canine companions, whether it's about grooming, first aid, behaviour or health and physiology.
Overall, the welfare and wellbeing of animals is my passion in life. Therefore it made sense to me to only use products in my salon that reflect my views. Hownd, Mutneys and Paw Naturel are all natural, vegan, and cruelty free products, that are free from allergens. The skin is the largest organ of the body, so it makes sense to take good care of it!

Working in our home based salon, I like to make all dogs feel like a part of my family. The calm home environment and access to a safe, secure garden greatly reduces stress on grooming clients, and we work on a one to one basis, so that your pet can get to know and trust us, without lots of other people and dogs around, such as in a busy shop style grooming salon. We work with many anxious or elderly and infirm pets, as a homely, one to one grooming experience is much calmer and safer for them than the type of salons I have previously worked in. I knew that I had to create a quieter, more relaxing place so that I could help the most nervous dogs.

I have many certificates in different Grooming techniques, Canine First Aid, Skin and Coat Health and muscular skeletal physiology. I am always furthering my knowledge in these fields, and have my City & Guilds Level 3 Grooming qualification which I passed with a Distinction. We are members of the British Dog Groomers Association and Pet Industry Federation.

At Dog Tidy we strive to provide a warm, welcoming environment for your dog, a loving home, and a quality and professionalism in our work.

I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s)!
