Hand Stripping

An option for certain breeds, such as wire or silky coated dogs. Hand stripping is the process of removing dead coat as opposed to clipping.

Having worked in many different grooming environments over the years, I have seen how stressful busy salons can be for both staff and the dogs. I wanted to give my clients a much calmer, quieter and laid back environment to be groomed in, without the need for cages or kennels. In a home based salon I can give pets one on one attention, access to a secure garden and a home setting to reduce stress. I believe that grooming should be a fun, bonding experience for dogs, a time where they can enjoy the attention and feel pampered.

Our modern, fully equipped grooming salon is located in our home in Rumney, Cardiff. We offer a top quality, professional grooming service, in a friendly and relaxed home atmosphere. Whilst with us your dog will be sure to receive the best quality of care, in a safe, secure and loving environment.

Day Care at Dog Tidy is a home from home for our four legged clients! We play in the garden, snuggle in the house and go for walks appropriate for the pet we are with. We don't have large amounts of dogs at a time. Rather we keep this a small, relaxed place for those who may be unsuited to day cares with a lot of noise and activity going on.
